How many people can the tents sleep?

4m tents sleep 2-4 people 5m tents sleep - up to 5 people 6m tents sleep up to 8 people.

How much space do I need?

For a 4m bell tent, you'll need 6m diameter of flat(ish) grass per tent For 5m, you'll need 7m For 6m, you'll need 8m.

Are we allowed pets?

As a rule, no. However, you can pay a pet premium of £50 to accommodate your pet but pet owners must ensure that pets have their own bed. We do not charge for assistance dogs.

Are the tents waterproof?

Yes very! Our bells are made with treated cotton canvas and they stand up extremely well to the elements. That being said, on occasion after prolonged heavy rain, the canvas can seep a small amount of water. This can happen if items are left leaning against the canvas or if the doors and windows are not secured properly.

How far in advance do I need to book?

The sooner the better! Demand for our tents has gone through the roof in recent months and 2022 and 2023 are filling up fast. It's helpful for us to know who's booking and what they need so we can plan our stock, staffing and transport.

How much does it cost to secure the date?

For bell tent hire we ask for 25% of the total hire cost. The remaining balance is due 1 month before the pitch date.

Where can the tents be pitched?

Private land Wedding/Event Venues Gardens Campsites Anywhere with flat(ish) turf and permission.

Where can't the tents be pitched?

  • Directly under trees.
  • On artificial grass.
  • On any surface that isn't turf.

How many tents can I book?

We have a lot of tents and can accommodate around 250 guests depending on occupancy. If you're looking for 1-3 tents, you can find lots of info on our bell tent hire page. If you've got a few more in mind (4 or more) the weddings and events pages will have more detailed information. Anything that isn't covered, give us a call or send us an email.

How long does it take to pitch the tents?

That depends on many things. The distance from our vans to the pitch site, the type of tent/s you're having, ground type and the great British weather! Once you know what you're having, we can discuss timings in more detail.

How long is the hire period?

The standard hire period is 48 hours. Additional nights can be booked for a small surcharge.

Please note, we use transit vans to move our kit so we must be able to park close to the pitch site.
