How many people can the tents sleep?
Up to 4 in our guest tents. However if you’re opting for an empty tent and bringing your own equipment, you can get 7 or even 8 people on air beds/rollmats in them. (it's a squeeze though!)
How many nights can I stay in the tent?
Our standard hire period is 48 hours although we would recommend you check with the event organiser/wedding couple as to which days they want to allow guests to stay over.
Are there any additional costs?
We don't take a security deposit from our guests, however if something gets broken, soiled or damaged we will invoice you to repair or replace the item.
You can view our stock replacement price list here. For further details of excessive soiling/damages and associated charges, please view our Terms and Conditions.
How will I know which tent I’m sleeping in?
We’ll be in touch before the event with a tent plan so you know where you'll be staying.
When do we need to pay?
In full at the time of booking to secure your tent please.
How do I pay for my tent?We accept all major credit/debit cards and Paypal. If you require an invoice, please get in touch.
What are the beds like?We use camp beds that are raised off the floor, they’re comfy and reliable. Double beds have a support bar in the middle and we add a mattress topper for extra comfort. They’re especially cosy if you opt for our bedding packs too. (We use 13.5 tog duvets as standard)
Can I have a double bed if I’m staying on my own?Yes you can, but due to the nature of the beds, the central support bar may prohibit you from stretching out in the middle. If you’re sleeping solo, we’d recommend a single bed.
Does a double bedding pack cost more than a single bedding pack?
Yes, our bedding is priced per person due to our associated laundering and ironing costs which is calculated according to the size and volume of larger duvets, linen and accessories.
How far in advance do I need to book? The sooner the better. It's helpful for us to know whose booking and what they need so we can plan our stock, staffing and transport accordingly.
Are we allowed pets?
As a rule, no. However, you can pay a pet premium of £50 to accommodate your pet, but you must bring a bed for your pet to sleep on. We do not charge for assistance animals.
Are the tents waterproof?
Yes very! Our bells are made with treated cotton canvas and they stand up extremely well to the elements. That being said, on occasion after prolonged heavy rain, the canvas can seep a small amount of water. This can happen if items are left leaning against the canvas or if the doors and windows are not secured properly.
Can I bring a travel cot?
Yes you can, depending on how many other beds youre booking, you could be tight on space - give us a call if you'd like to check any details.
Is there anywhere to hang my wedding outfit?
Yes, there's a metal loop about 2m high on the centre pole inside our tents.
Is there space to store our luggage?
Yes there is. The tents are surprisingly roomy, even with the campbeds inside, you can still get bags and suitcases underneath the beds.
How should I leave my tent when we depart?
Free from rubbish please. We don’t always collect our tents straight away after you’ve left, so to avoid any weather/animal damage to the tent, it’s very important that you leave it zipped up down the middle and along the bottom.
Are there shower facilities available?
We work at venues all over the country, therefore we’d recommend asking the event organiser/wedding couple to clarify which facilities are available at their chosen venue.
“My wife and I were guests at a beautiful wedding in the woods, we booked a bell tent with bedding and were absolutely delighted with the tent as well as the layout of ours and the other guests who had booked the same or similar accomodation through 'life's a pitch.' Communication with the owners was clear and prompt and the security deposit was returned without question. Book with them with confidence in the facilities provided/communication and security.
